I don’t even like Twilight, and I find this offensive.
So much awesome.
I hate to admit to watching this show, but is it just me or does this season of America’s next top model suck more than usual? Last season the oldest girl won, which doesn’t make sense to me because…she’s old…AND old? No. Not okay. I mean 50s old is totally fine and understandable, but 30s not okay. Especially when the woman isn’t classy old she’s just sun-damaged trashy looking old. Maybe I just take it personally because I think Allison should have won but then again I am glad she’s not on a cheap cover girl add.
Now this season all of the talented girls have been kicked off or harassed off. Good job geting rid of the real talent and keeping the girls who honestly don’t bring anything new. I’m so disappointed in this season- I have two girls to root for left and they would have been in my top four with the other two but they’re gone now. So disappointed.
Spooooooiiiiiiiiler of Cabin in the Woods
Cabin In the Woods defied my expectations and proved my previous belief of horror movies wrong. One again Joss has done something amazing. The movie is a brilliant work of satire and commentary on society but mostly on those horrid cliches that every other horror movie falls into. I jumped, I laughed and I cheered. I went in thinking that it would be a decent horror movie as Joss had wrote it after all but I was pleasantly surprised within the first few minutes of the movie. I even enjoyed the cast list and noticed them from some of my favorite shows such as dollhouse, buffy as well as the west wing/ studio 60 on the sunset strip.
I want to see it again. My friend and I enjoyed in so much that upon leaving the theatre we ran straight to the book store to pick up the novelization of the movie. We plan to skype during the summer about the book. Yeah, couple of fan girls. I’m an incredibly thankful that my expectations were met and exceeded.
The opening credits will surprise you in their turn and you can tell that this is a Joss production. The characters, unlike in every other horror movie, are the relatively intelligent college students studying politics, physics and actually understand what they’re learning. Shocking, I know. My jaw dropped. Of course the movie features your typical nudity and sex scenes but you’ll be surprised about how they got there. The enjoyable aspect are the two different point of views that there are. You get the movie from the angel of the victims in the usual way but you also get it from the masterminds….and you wont see it coming. Well, you might if you are far more clever than me going into the movie. You can totally guess it if you’re familiar with his writing and by paying attention in the first few minutes.
The monsters are great, so much detail and imagination…as well as humor behind them. The ending is typical of Joss for all the hardcore fans out there, most of his shows end in a similar fashion- almost every season of buffy featured this concept. Furthermore, the final location will look familiar to h-core buffy fans, two words: The Initiative.
YOU MUST SEE THIS GIFT OF A MOVIE.
All in all, just wow. Thank you Joss Whedon. You are beyond brilliant.

Everyone from back home is talking about how its going to ten degrees today…its going to 12 where I am. It its usually somewhere around 7-10 degrees so 12 is something to look forward to. Every time I read one of their posts about the temperature I can helo but think, “damn, that’s cold” because 8 degrees is cold and windy here. However, the fact that we don’t have snow and they still do makes me laugh. A lot.
